Putting It Behind Us…

In 1970, Harry and Joan Bohlman established Winterberry Christmas Tree Farm at 203 Smithtown Road, Tinicum Township, Pipersville, PA. It began as a partnership with a retired farmer whom Harry worked for during his school days as a “local farm hand”. This 35 acre farm, whose roots were always in Harry’s heart, became our family farm when the partnership ended in 1986.

Yearly planting proceeded and the farm developed as did our mindset: to create a memorable family tradition. And so the Santa shed with its warm pot belly stove and Jolly Old Saint Nick became a delight to the children. The fire pit had ample log seating all around, the baler wrapped customers trees for ease of transport and the reconstruction of an 1840 wagon shed provided shelter, wreaths, roping and refreshments. And surely we cannot forget the horse drawn wagon rides! Our boys, Tom, Toby and Otto, three abreast and dressed in their Christmas bells walked (and sometimes galloped) the trails around the farm. And so the saga goes on …

Starting A New Farm Experience…

Having purchased a lovely 25 acre property in 1988, nestled between Dark Hollow and Stagecoach Roads, we began planting Douglas, Fraser and Concolor Fir trees. In 2004 we retired the Smithtown Road farm and concentrated on our Stagecoach Road farm, where we waited for the seedlings to mature.

Mother Nature has done her job and we will have a great selection of trees for the current season. Your experience will still be unique. Families can wander through our fields to find their perfect tree. You can take pleasure of fresh air, the serenity of our farm scene and pure simplicity.

Change is sometimes a good thing!
